oh word? (cosmic clipboard)
The game you've been enmeshed in has reached a sticking point, or soon will. I recommend that you call for a suspension of action. If that's not possible, hide from the other players for a while, or jokingly tell them you have to excuse yourself because it's time for your regular bout of cleansing escapism. Then, during the break, scour your brain free of clutter so you can gain a more dispassionate view of your own strategy. I also suggest that you seek the advice of a smart and impartial observer. If all goes well, you'll be able to return to the fray refreshed within ten days.

Night Thoughts
Someone said to me the other day, "I was born dead."
Made me think of this:
"Our birth is nothing but our death begun, As tapers waste the moment they take fire." (i.e. yeah i totally know what you mean)
I don't think he would've gotten it though. *
*considered typing one of these :(

Roger Reeble hates fun
BUT HE LOVES ME, SO MUCH.
(hearing the sympathy and concern in his voice when he responds "you don't know how much i wish i could be there with you" after hearing about the terrifying, soul crushing, belittling visit i had to a doctor two weeks ago...just struck with the reality that is absolute, unwavering love. my breed of self-reliance used to bear some sort of romanticism, but it's just getting annoying and burdensome now and needs to evolve a bit; at present it's blinding me to importance of having someone go to bat for you/be on your team. i guess co-dependence isn't always as wimpy as i assumed it has to be.)

bender
5pm-5am
three isolated hangs
three isolated rounds of drinks and gabbing till my jaw felt like it was gonna fall off it's hinges
one basket of tater tots for dinner
the best kind of raw throat today, talking to death, laughing in the grave
pregnant with good times

love stays
Favorite corner of the house.
Flea market finds on the walls making me long even harder for warm days in middle-of-nowhere Wisconsin and breathing again. Fairground dust and french fries. Windows down and the world runs blue-green, green-blue.
my collection of Victorian needlepoint could beat up your collection of Victorian needlepoint.

part one: hooked. part two: death
printing on burlap: fun and addicting. this is turning into a pillow. something about the sort of primitive weave on textiles like this mixed with primitive, clean, old world woodcuts makes my heart flutter. i also eat with my hands and take baths from a bucket of rain water. primitive savage to the bone.
Metal Haven is closing. In truth i haven't stepped foot in there in almost a year because i knew i'd just walk out deeper in credit card debt by about 100 bucks (which is really the cost of about 3 reissue lp's plus tax). guess i'm part of the problem. onward...sewing (my shitty class project. a bath robe, really?) and memorializing:
hurry up May
-bone awl, bastard noise, bastard, CROW (HOLY SHIIIIIIT CROW!!!!), talk is poison, leatherface, rorschach
-breakfast tacos everyday
-avocado margaritas everyday
-Lone Star everyday
-DEEP FRIED AVOCADO TACOS for snacks (at least i hear that they exist)
-days spent as such: 20%clothes/60%bikini/20%nude
-conference of the babes
-the boat show (not missing it this time)
-getting tattooed w/ my chicago family
-listening to SHAMBALA on the plane, always wanted to do that at least
negatives:
-last year pushed my tolerance for hobo face tattoo scum bags and their poor dogs to a new, non-existant level. prediction: there will be fights this time. wait maybe not, getting scabies or hepatits as a result would be a bummer.
-europe pushed back to September??

as always, just something to think about....
"Many of the significant problems in our lives are more about recognizing the obvious rather than discovering the mysterious or hidden. One of the classic ways we deceive and hide from ourselves is by refusing to recognize the obvious, and shrouding what is right before us in rationalization and false complexity. We often delay and deny necessary transformation by claiming that there is a mysterious answer hidden from us, when actually we know the answers but pretend that we don't."
