"a man of pleasure is a man of pains"

i'm so anxious to get out of this apartment; this super spacious, highly functional, fairly affordable, very adorable apartment. even an environment this ideal can't distract from how rotten this year has been. i often purposefully revisit old haunts around this city with an endearing fondness, but i don't think my head will even turn when i drive past this guy in the future. turning point... i've broken up with nostalgia; a phenomenon that once gave me wings now feels like dead weight and it's more than invigorating to say and feel that. the scale of Pleasure vs. Pain tips once again.
speaking of P vs. P...finally got a hold of the Jane's Addiction/Perry Farrell biography and i've been digesting a bit before bed every night.
