1. a Pink Fairies shirt/dress with huge arm holes* to wear this summer over bikini tops. optional ironic roach clip feather business. did anyone else win those at the fair? i did and i never understood why my aunts and uncles who were a only a few years older would giggle when i would proudly run around with my win and clip them all over my clothes. anyway, i want to screen the King of Oblivion piggies on somthin'. white shirt with black ink, i think. simple. actually this would probably be really hard to pull a black/white image out of:

* one time at the Ice Factory there was a very tiny, very ambiguous, very bald headed girl at a show going sans breast supports with a shirt like this over her. it was one of the hottest things i've ever seen.

it looks like someone who at one time had a ladies boutique in chicago unloaded all of their leftover inventory. tons of dresses and crazy button up shirts with tags still attached. clothing from the 60s can be a hard sell i think, but i love this stuff so much i don't even care.

on the "bigger" screen

i've never been in any theatre at the Music Box but the main one. there were more people in this tiny side theatre than people in the main theatre for most of the movies i've seen there.

like a flash

this sold in like 10 minutes. very siked that looking like a goth milkmaid is desirable.

i'm linking this blog to my etsy shop so i apologize if it's going to get heavy with pictures of clothes and unattainable Garath Pugh pieces and whatnot. i'll still throw in pictures of sweaty young men mounting each other and maybe some photos from hardcore shows too. so yeah, nothing is changing, just more etsy updates.

made some coffee and decided to torture myself by listening to Brightside since it was the hot topic last night and fresh on my mind. now i'm just sitting her yelling at myself, at matt, at the cat "WHY DIDN'T I GO SEE KILLING TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME?!" sometimes the enormity (that's a bit dramatic i guess) of situations just passes me by. this should've been high priority! my parent's came to visit though. since when do parents beat out one of your favorite bands? since i got old, that's when.

i would like to scribble this on a note card to stash in my pocket so i can pull it out on those instances when i worry that i'm becoming prime meat for Jesus campers with these "unexplained" notions of connectedness and also to throw back at taylor when she tells me (that she loves it that) i'm a new age hippie when really i'm just an elevated nihilist. THERE IS A REALLY BIG DIFF!

Intellectually, our times are haunted by a false opposition: we're offered the choice between religious transcendence and the liberal culture of immanence. As such, on the one hand, the transgression of immanence from within is made suspect in favour a religious communitarianism; on the other hand, the idea of transcendence is refuted as part of a backward religious metaphysics.This site looks for places in contemporary culture which open up a domain of transcendence within immanence (some kind of 'introscendence'). The metaphysics involved can be purely secular, for the nexus is the human subject as transcendental, as split between the phenomenal realm of the particular and the noumenal realm of the universal. Next to the exploration of these cultural sites, I will also focus explicitly on epistemological and philosophical-antropological topics, for I do not believe that both spheres (of the concrete-existential and the abstract-philosophical) can be fully separated (although they have indeed their own method and logic).
